Esegesi del testo:
A ben vedere Pupo in questa canzone d'amore ci regala un'intrigante metafora della vita stessa, che, attenzione!, definisce come un gelato "dolce e un po' salato" e non banalmente "amaro". E su quel "salato", allora, ci sarebbe da discutere per ore, perchè rivela l'ottimismo di fondo dell'autore, ormai annoverato tra le più grandi menti, per statura, prestigio, sfolgorante raziocinio, di tutti i tempi.

è una canzone malinconica (non triste) ma alla fine ti ricongiunge con il mondo!!
di solito l'ascolto di questa canzone ha su di me un effetto catartico: alla fine ne esco sempre più sollevato, lucido e sereno! e ho risparmiato gli euri dell'analista...

Premesso che per colpa tua mi sto riascoltando l'opera omnia dei Dire Straits (dopo aver goduto ieri sera di un inatteso special di Mark Knopfler su Radio1, in cui ha presentato il suo nuovo disco, Shangri-la', e ci ha regalato una mezz'ora improvvisata dal vivo di chitarra e voce, e l'ho registrata

grande giorgio!! erano anni che nn leggevo più quel testo magnifico!
cmq mancano i 5 - 6 minuti di assolo finale! è quello il punto saliente che dicevo. se ascolti la musica secondo me capisci che supera il pessimismo del testo e vola in alto sopra le "fiamme della disperazione".
sono finalmente riusciti a sfuggire al dolore!
